Delores Ewans, affectionately known as Dee (86), Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Delores leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and purpose that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

After graduating from high school, Delores worked for Dobbs House, then went on to become a center coordinator for CMACO Head Start. Furthering her career, Delores became a Health outreach worker, where she earned her certification in community outreach. Delores devoted her life to serving God and was an active member at St. Dominic Catholic Church, serving in many capacities. In her free time, Delores loved to travel, shop, watch reality TV shows, eat at Taco Bell, and watch women’s tennis matches.

More than her professional achievements Delores truly loved her family. She was the proud mother of one daughter and three sons, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Her home was a place of love, strength, wisdom, and unwavering support. She led her family with faith, integrity, and a deep sense of purpose.

Preceded in death by parents Princetta and Harrison Ewans, Biological Mother Ludy Stewart, Brother Ruben Young, and Sister Joann Moore.

Survived by brother Robert Young, Children James Ewans, Desanda (Jeffrey) Constant, Roger Ewans, Terry Ewans, Grandchildren Deshawn, Shannon, Shameka (Taiwan White), Jeffrey Jr, Rashad, Raaesha, Thomas, Tenaye, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and humor, and the impact she had on her family, friends, and the community.
