He was kind and caring, if he had you had it (I got you Luv). Damon was big on Respect and Love. Damon was a strong man, full of energy, and had a way with words. He had many sayings like "What's sup Luv, accept it or reject it Luv, my bigger figura" and many more. Damon would tell you "what's understood don't need to be explained". Damon's love and relationship with his mother Joyce Griffin (Ma Dukes) and son Damon Lorenzo Griffin Jr. was beautiful because he cherished the bond they had. He was a loving and devoted son and father. Damon loved all his family and friends unconditionally.

Damon attend South High School. He later went on to receive his G.E.D. Damon and partner started DG Cleaning Inc where he was the CEO.

Damon was a Big time Green Bay Packers and Buckeye fan. He loved to play basketball and football, he was very gifted and talented. Damon had a mean cross over; which he passed on to his son.

Damon is preceded in death by his father Eddie Pointer; his grandparents Sam Pointer, Margret Smith, Thomas Smith; and Sister Betty Cloud.
