Charles Walter Harris, age 81, born August 28, 1936 in Buffalo, New York, passed away June 5, 2018 in Columbus, Ohio. A resident of Columbus since his early childhood years, Charles was a 1956 graduate of East High School and an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from Westinghouse Electric and Rockwell International after 20 years of combined service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dolly Harris, sister Darlene Gladys Slocum-Radcliff, and brother Carlos Ronald Harris. Those remaining to cherish memories of Charles include his beloved wife of 44 years, Freda Mae Latham Harris; daughter Regina Contessa Harris of Columbus; sons, Walter Lee Wilkerson, Charles Christopher (Lisa) Wilkerson, both of Columbus, and stepson Marc Latham of Texas; sister Mary Manulene Harris-Robinson of Columbus; brother Richard Edward Harris of Cleveland, Ohio; grandchildren, Ciara, Devonaire, Lamour, Scherece, Christopher, and DiMarco; great grandchildren, Giovanni, Genesis, Tamari, and Damyah; sister-in-law Elizabeth (Floyd) Wadell of Columbus; brothers-in-law, Clifton (Beverly) Latham, Lowell Latham, Jr., and Thomas Latham, all of Columbus; along with a host of nieces, nephews, great- and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Charles was a wonderful husband and father that was loved, is missed, and will be cherished always.
