Obituary

Charles Edward Davis, 71, went to be with the Lord on March 25, 2026. He was born on December 3, 1954, in Bellaire, Ohio, to Albert Williams and Mary Davis.

Charles dedicated 47 years of faithful service to Post Cereal, where he worked until his retirement in 2024. He served as a dedicated union Steward, traveling frequently, representing and supporting his fellow members with dedication and integrity. He was known as an exceptionally hard worker who took great pride in everything he did. Charles was dependable and committed, rarely missing a day of work, and his dedication and perseverance earned the respect of all who knew and worked alongside him.

Charles graduated in 1973 from Mohawk High School, where he was an active and dedicated student-athlete, participating in both the football and baseball teams. His talent and commitment on the field earned him a baseball scholarship, which allowed him to further his education and athletic pursuits. He went on to attend Ohio Wesleyan University, where he completed his associate degree.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Williams and Mary Davis; and his siblings, Annette Valentine, Brenda Gilbert, Betty Reese, Anthony Davis, China Green, and Kevin Davis.

His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife of 40 years, Saundra Davis; daughters, Keisha Davis and Anita Bridges; son, Eugene “Tink” Fambro; sisters, Diana Cummings, Terri Davis, Denessa Davis, and Teresa Davis; grandchildren, Brandy (Charles) Fraley, Adrionne Bridges, Quinton Yarborough, Jada Mitchell, Jayden Mitchell, and Tony Mitchell; eight great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Eddie) Stanley and Nona Hollingsworth; brother-in-law, Dr. Charles Hollingsworth; cousin/brother, Thomas (Rosie) Page; cousin Sharita Swann: lifelong best friend, Johnny (Shelly) Pitts; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

Charles never met a stranger, and everyone he encountered was touched by his kindness and genuine spirit. Though he was soft-spoken, his presence was powerful, and his quiet strength left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Charles will be remembered for his life, his devotion, and the legacy he leaves behind.
