Catherine Ware (Ware) Gordon

Catherine Ware Gordon, age 97, went home to the Lord Thursday, January 4, 2012. She was born February 7, 1914 in Farmhaven, MS., the daughter of the late Moses and Jeannette Ware. The family moved to Columbus when she was three years of age. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. Her husband, Robert C. Gordon, Sr. whom she married in 1933, preceded her in death; she was also predeceased by her eleven siblings. Catherine leaves to cherish her memory five children, Robert Charles (Dorcas) Gordon, James H. Gordon, Janet M. Gordon, Michael (Sharon) Gordon and Claudette L. (Reginald) Anderson; of Lancaster, CA; sisters-in-law, Flora Ware, Phyllis Ware and Lois Ware; 20 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
