Callis Kennedy, Jr.

Callis Kennedy, Jr., age 57, gained his wings on June 2, 2023, at the OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Callis was born November 3, 1965, to the late Callis Kennedy, Sr. and the late ErnestJean Brooks Kennedy in Marengo County, Alabama, where he was raised by his grandmother the late  Sudie B. Kennedy.

He joined St. James Baptist Church in Thomaston, Alabama at an early age, he attended Marengo County Training School (Ameila Love Johnson) in Thomaston, Alabama.

He loved cooking, outdoor activities with the grandkids, fishing, scrapping, gardening, lawncare and working on cars. Callis loved to help others whenever there was a need.

He leaves to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 22 years, Tonette Kennedy, his son Callis Harper, His stepsons: Aaron (Whitney) Benson and Brandon (Cassie) Chaney; his siblings: Betty (Richard) Jennings, Lela Kennedy, Patricia Ann (the late Sherman) Jackson, Bobby Lee Kennedy, Joe Louis (Delois) Kennedy.

His loving grandchildren: AJ, Ariane, Ariah, Aviyon, Brandon, and Reign; his devoted aunts: Minnie Prince, Jean Hayes, and Kate Cox; his uncle's Freddie B. Kennedy, Clarence Agee; his devoted in-laws: Roger (Anna Lisa) Williams, Vanessa (the late Lamarr) Williams, Denise (Warren) Love, Tina (Jeffery) McElroy, Tracey (Bill) Lyles, Joyce (Rayvon) English, Thomas (Khalilah) Lyles, Jr., Allen (Essence) Marsh; special nieces: Antoina Baker, Brittany Cox, Teyawnna Jones
