Sis Brenda A. Thomas, 76, of Columbus, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on December 3, 2025.
Brenda was born to parents, Bro. Willie and Sis. Louise Cook on May 15th,1949. She attended Columbus City Schools and graduated from South High School.
Brenda was a faithful member of The Church of Christ of the Apostlic Faith, and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the tender age of 15.
She was an active member in Church. She loved singing and directing, she was on the teenage usher broad, she attended AYC, she was one of the choir directors for the gospel choir, the little girls choir, the women's choir, she was ask to director the senior choir a few times by her mother in law the late Sis Ollie Thomas.
Brenda worked at Citi National Bank for 5 years, until she she met George (in 1975) and they were married in July of 1976.Their union lasted for 49 years. They had 2 children: Sheleta Thomas (daughter) and George Thomas 2nd (son) and 2 grandchildren: George Thomas 3rd and Ariana Thomas.
Brenda preceded in death by her parents Willie J and Louise Cook, sister, Virginia Cook and another sister who was stillborn at birth.
She leaves to cherish her memories. Her husband, children, grandchildren, her sister: Linda Perry and 2 brothers James Cook, Larry Cook and her sister-aunt Jo Sigers. All of Columbus Oh. Along with aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Brenda loved the Lord. She said she depended on him for every area of her life. One of her favorite quote and song "If it had not been for the Lord on my side, where would I be." Then she would simply say "No where." She planted that into her children and grand children.
Sis Brenda Thomas was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She will be great missed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025 from 11:00am - 12:00pm with a Funeral Service immediately following at Church of Christ Apostolic Faith, 1200 Brentnell Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43219. Burial will process to Evergreen Cemetery.
