On August 27, 2025 Mrs. Betty Jean LaPrade(Abraham) went to be with the Lord. She passed away peacefully at home.

She is preceded in death by her parents Lewis Abraham Sr and mother Hattie May Blalock, siblings Estelle Brown, Marguerite Mitchell, Lewis Abraham Jr. She is survived by her husband of 59 years Daniel E. LaPrade Sr. and her children Sharon LaPrade, Daniel E. LaPrade Jr.(Becky), and Angie LaPrade. Grandchildren Robert Nnadi, Keisha Nnadi, Naphtali(Laci), Jaylyn, Malik(Trikaya), Kai, Zyler, Dominic, Noah, Uriel Elysia LaPrade, Christopher LaPrade, Lawrence Burgess III, Kevin LaPrade and great grandson Cairo Burgess.

She was born in Aiken, South Carolina. She loved to cook and was employed by Oakleaf Village, Parkwood, Woodland, and Broad long term care facilities as well as Isabelle Ridgeway and OSU.

Family will receive visitors on Monday, September 15th, 2025 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am with a Memorial Service immediately following.
