Betty Ann Frazier

Betty Ann Frazier was born on March 24, 1931, to George Cullens Parker and Ethel Rivers Parker in Columbus, Ohio. She was a proud graduate of East High School, class of 1949. She retired from OSU, Upham Hall, after 30 years of employment. A woman of deep faith, she was a lifetime member of Trinity Baptist Church, where she found great joy in singing as a soloist in the choir. Her dedication to her church remained steadfast throughout her life until her health no longer allowed her to participate actively.

Betty had many passions that enriched her life. She was an avid bowler and an enthusiastic reader who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved traveling with her sister and brother-in-law to destinations such as Europe and Hawaii and cherished road trips with her son Dale Alan. An excellent cook who delighted in preparing meals for those she loved most, Betty treasured every moment spent in fellowship with family and friends.

Betty's greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She is survived by her beloved children: Bonita Ann (Sammie) Tucker, Debra Jean (Robert) Odom, Lloyd (Judy Lynn) Frazier III, and Dale Alan Frazier. She was a cherished grandmother to Alena Spratt, Stephanie Odom, Avra (Mark) Leonard, Steven (Chesley) Odom, Nigel (Ashley) Frazier, Dana Frazier, Monique Frazier, Keondra (Ahmed) Salifu, Alexis Frazier, Gabby Frazier, and Cameron Frazier. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Keoni Odom, Taylor Spratt, Brooklyn Frazier, Madison Frazier, Braylen Frazier, Tristan Frazier, Jordyn Raglin, Aliyah Carter, Anthony Carter, Kenji Frazier, Harper Odom, Hudson Odom, Hendrix Odom, RubyAnn Leonard and Mark Leonard, Jr.

She is also survived by her dear sister Theresa Brown of Temple City, CA; niece, Martina Johnson of Temple City, CA; nephew Kim (Kimberly) Brown, Irvine, CA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were touched by her kindness and warmth. Betty was preceded in death by her parents George C. Parker and Ethel Parker and her brother-in-law, Theodore Brown.

Those who knew Betty will remember her as kind-hearted and endlessly patient. She never spoke ill of anyone and always carried a smile on her face. Even as her health declined in later years, she never complained but instead faced each challenge with grace and strength. Her unwavering faith guided her through life's trials—a testament to the scripture she held dear: "I have fought the good fight; I have finished the race: I have kept the faith."-2 Timothy 4.7. Betty Ann's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
