**Obituary for Betsy McBroom**

Betsy Jean Harton McBroom, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Grant Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born in Tazewell, Virginia. on Tuesday, August 10, 1943. Betsy came to Columbus, Ohio in 1961, where she lived a life full of warmth, generosity, and devotion to those she loved.

A lifelong resident of Columbus, Betsy was known for her vibrant spirit and unwavering kindness. Her home was a symbol of love and hospitality, always open to family, friends and those in need of comfort or companionship. She dedicated her life to nurturing her community and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Betsy Jean is survived by her sons, Robbie and Eric, grandchildren, cousins, St. Philip Lutheran and Faith Mission Holy Church Family.

Betsy Jean family and friends are invited to her homegoing memorial on Sept 5, 2026 at 10:45 AM at, St Philip Lutheran Church, 1506 E. Long Street Columbus, Ohio 43203, 614 253-8745, Pastor Mark Hensley.

Interment services celebrating Betsy's life was held on Friday, August 14, 2026 at Glen Rest Memorial in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
