Bessie Mae Cox 97, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 19, 2014. Bessie was born in Hogansville, Georgia. She is preceded in death by husbands Leroy Green, John B. Cox; parents Homer and Josephine Clopton; son Norris Greene; step children Ralph Green and Carrie Green; siblings Marvin Clopton, Lewis Clopton Sr., Jenny Mack, Geneva Adams, Willie Clopton and grandson Carey Terron Greene. She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Arvella Thomas; children Phyllis (Bobby) Riley, Myrna Foster, Freda (Israel) Bell of Acworth, Ga. Maurice (Gail) Cox of Monroe, Pa., and Benjamin (Cathy) Cox; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
