Barbara Frances Files

Barbara Francis Files, “Big Grandma from Southfield”, was born in Birmingham, AL. on June 8, 1922 the union of Oscar and Anna Waters. Barbara retired from Rhodes Office Tower with the State of Ohio. She departed this life on June 10, 2013. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Anna Waters, daughter, Shirley Dockery, grandson, Clay Dockery and brother, Rudolph (Rudy) Waters. She is survived by daughters, Arthelia (Skippy), Theodoris (Doris) and Ivylee (Ivy); grandchildren, Anthony, Lonette, Lisa, Reggie, Markie (Nicole), Carla, Tejuan (Wendy), Kathleen (Wendell) and Christine (David); 28 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces; nephews, cousins and friends.
