Alfreda Catherine Melvin

Alfreda Catherine Melvin, 72, most commonly known as “Freda” and “Ma”, was born to David and Evelyn Dixon. She loved and served Jesus, her family and loved ones. She was a loving wife and mother. She departed after her grandfather and grandmother, father and mother (David Evelyn Dixon); sons, Clifford Clark and David Dixon; grandson Michael Dixon. She leaves blessings for husband Lonnie E. Melvin; six children, Deborah Dixon, Denise (Rick) Watson, Charles E. Dixon, Catherine (Melvin) Traylor, William (Starr) Dent, Nathan (Valencia) Dent; sister, Dorothy Lockett; aunt, Mary Griffin; favorite cousin and Pastor Clarice Burger along with 23 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; nephews, nieces a host of cousins and friends.
