Alberta Dorsey

Mrs. Alberta Johnson Dorsey passed away on October 16, 2012, at Whetstone Nursing Facility following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Dorsey was born September 8, 1915 in Dayton, Ohio, the oldest of eight children. Alberta came to Columbus as an infant and was a product of the Columbus Public School System. She worked until she was 70 years old at The Ohio State University in a Supervisory capacity. She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and AnnaBelle Johnson; husband James V. Dorsey; one sister and four brothers. She leaves to mourn her passing four generations: her daughter, Sephronia David; son, Preston Dorsey; seven (7) grandchildren; seventeen (17) great-grandchildren and three (3) great-great-grandchildren. Additionally, she is survived by two brothers, Harold and Cornelious II “Neil Johnson; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
