Our Dear Loved One, Deaconess Willietta Ezell Green, was born in Macon County, Alabama, on March 28, 1921. She answered God's call from labor to rest at Broadview Healthcare, Columbus, Ohio, on Thursday, April 26, 2012. She was a devoted, faithful, and loyal member of Calvary Tremont Baptist Church for approximately 59 years, serving in various ministries. Willietta was also an excellent cook who took great pleasure in hosting family meals. Her home was a warm haven of love and visitors never left without a plate of food. Her specialty was Sweet Potato Pie. On December 27, 1938, Willietta was united in matrimony to Chollie B. Green in Alabama, and they remained married for fifty-four years until his death. She was a loving and devoted mother and caring friend who will be greatly missed. In addition to her husband, Willietta was preceded in death by her parents Levi Ezell and Carrie Slaughter Ezell, three brothers, two sisters, and a grandson Rodney. She leaves to mourn her sons, Charlie (Carolyn) Green and Phil Green; daughters Ruth Thompson and Mary (James) Humphy; sisters, Elizabeth Walker, Thelma Jordan, Louester Stroud, Mable Stroud, and Lois Tatum; godchild Jason Tatum; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
