WILLIE JAMES THOMPSON, Ill, better known as "Billy", was born February 16, 1961, in Columbus, Ohio, to Willie James, Jr. and Alfreda Thompson. He attended Columbus City Schools and was a graduate of Mifflin High School. Billy was trained in masonry and worked as a bricklayer for several employers in Ohio, Pennsylvania, California, Nevada, and Florida. As a teenager, Billy professed his life to Christ. In July 1977, he was baptized and fellowshipped as a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Billy was a very loving person who cared deeply for his family. He was also a skilled outdoorsman and survivalist who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is predeceased by his grandparents; uncle, Odell Thompson; aunts, Gwen Booker and Teresa Freeman. Billy's life will forever be cherished by his parents; brother, Robert "Bobby" Thompson of Los Angeles, California; sisters, Tujuana "Sissy" Thompson of Columbus, Ohio, and Lajuana "Angel" Thompson of Los Angeles, California; nephews, TQuan, Alex, and Zuriel; nieces, Miangel, Carmelita, and Sky Queen; uncles, Eddie Oliver, Richard Thompson and Benny Thompson; aunts, Mary Young, Rebecca Changamire, and Elizabeth Smith; and other relatives and friends.
