Virginia A. Lemons, age 102, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at her residence. Also known as “Ginny” by many close friends, she was a faithful member of Petworth Methodist Church, Washington, D.C. for 40 years where she was declared honorary Queen for her commitment and service. In 1999, she relocated to Columbus, Ohio and united with the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Survived by children, Audrey (Howard) Foster of Columbus, Henry (Lil) Lemons of Breezewood, MD, and Joann (Carl) Greenwood of Washington, D.C.; 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a special niece and nephew. Homegoing Celebration 12 Noon, Monday, November 1, 2010 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 428 E. Main Street, where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until start of service. Dr. Charles E.
