Samuel Jackson was born March 30, 1952 to Naomi Jackson and J.D. Jones in Coy, Alabama. He departed this life on February 22, 2015 while at his residence in Columbus, Ohio. Samuel enjoyed fishing and he retired from the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) after thirty-five years of service. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, wife Linda Jackson, son Samuel Jackson, Jr., and brothers, Gosby, S.J. Jackson, F.J. Jackson, and W.J. Jackson. Samuel is survived by his children, Terry (Jessica), Samitra, David, Michael Jackson, Raechelle Jackson; brothers, Herbert (Sandy), David, and Wilber Jones; sisters, Minnie, Helen, Claudia (Lindbergh Perryman), and Wanda; grandchildren, Sir-Davion, Tatyana, Jaelin, Taleah, Aaliyah, and a host of other grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including his companion/best friend/caregiver, Evelyn Willis, and his closest, longtime friend/brother, Cornelius Mississippi Tucker.
