Runell Mcdougald

November 19, 1946 — August 10, 2021

RUNELL MCDOUGALD was born Wednesday, November 19, 1947, in Columbus, Ohio, to Mary Morgan and stepfather, Godfrey Morgan. Runell grew up in Columbus, Ohio, where she graduated from Linden McKinley High School in 1965. Upon graduating from high school, she was worked for several great employers, but found her niche at The Ohio State University Hospital. She started as a Dietary Clerk and eventually was promoted to a Unit Clerk. With 27 years of dedicated service at The Ohio State University, Runell retired in 2012. She was beloved by her co-workers and other staff alike. Runell accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age. As an adult, she was a faithful and dedicated member of Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies, Inc. Runell was always ready and willing to pray over her husband, children, grandchildren, a host of friends, and whoever came across her path that was in need of a good word from the Lord. Runell really enjoyed watching her grandson, Bradley, play basketball and football as he was growing up and all the way to him being in the NFL. Blessed with 75 years of life, our beloved Runell McDougald entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace McDougald Jr. and daughter, Nicki McDougald. Runell leaves to cherish in her memories her loving children, LaMonte McDougald, Nicki McDougald, Wallace McDougald III, and Desmond McDougald; her loving, faithful, and loyal grandchildren, Brandon McDougald, Bradley McDougald, Mahogany Patterson, Breonna Sowell, Trejen McDougald, and McKenna Hughes. Loving memories are also cherished by her two brothers, Harvey Elkin and Jimmy Elkin; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends; including special friend, Betty Johnson-Miller.
