Raleigh Lee Seward was born on April 19, 1941 in Columbus, Ohio to Lloyd and Lucille Seward. He was a loving and self made man, who was never afraid to speak his mind. At the age of 18, Raleigh Seward started his career at Riverside Methodist Hospital as a chef in the dietary department. He retired from Riverside Methodist Hospital after 48 years of service in 2010. Raleigh enjoyed going to see his beloved Cleveland Browns play and gathering with club members to travel out town for special events. He also enjoyed spending time with his childhood friend of 70 years Walter Whitfield at the VFW, who preceded him in death. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandson, and always found a way to attend their events. Raleigh is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Lucille Seward, and loving wife of 48 years, Theresa Seward as well as his siblings Lloyd Seward Jr, Marguerite Muse, Helen Payne and his son Shawn Seward. Left to mourn and cherish his memory, his daughter Dr. Tonya (Henry) Tiller; brother, Reverend Granville Seward of Newark, New Jersey; sister, Joann Wilson of Milwaukee, Wyoming. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Starla Yvonne Seward, Shania Lynn Seward, Shawn Presley Seward Jr, Michael Lee Tiller, John Edward Seward, Aden Riley Seward, Harley Quinn Seward and one great grandson King Carey Barnett. Raleigh Lee Seward will truly be missed by his good friend Madeline Tent and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
