Phillip Artis Frazier was born on November 24, 1936 to Jack Clarence Frazier, Sr. and Vivian Marjorie Frazier of Columbus, Ohio. He was the second child born to this union. Phillip united with Calvary Tremont Missionary Baptist Church in January 1947 and was baptized into the body of Christ by the late Rev. W.J. Payden. At the time of his death, he was still a member of the church under the pastorate of Rev. Dr. Harold A. Hudson. He was a graduate of East High School, Class of 1955 and served in the Ohio National Guard. In his earlier years, he worked for the State of Ohio Education Warehouse. Additionally, he was Co-Director of The Authentic Marketing and Distribution Group “Black Touch” Greeting Cards, Co-Owner of Mr. Bootery, an original member of The Esquires Modeling Club, and played the position of quarterback for the Garland Equipment Football Association. Phillip completed his earthly journey on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Ohio State University Hospital East. At the time of his death, he was a wonderful father, son, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend. His father Jack Sr., and brothers Ronald Eugene and Michael Stephen, preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, son Michael Kevin (Belinda) Wright; daughter Natalie Holland; mother Vivian M. Frazier; grandchildren, Avril, Shauna, Cherie, Asha, Asia, and Ashona; great grandchildren, Darius, Gabreille, and Lamyah; brother Jack C. Jr., sisters Diantha (George) Freeman and Barbara Reese; sister-in-law Jacqueline Frazier-Smith; nephews, Rev. G. Gregory (Sherice) Freeman, Rodney (Anita) Reese, and Simeon Brandon (Felicia) Frazier; nieces, Lynnette Scott, Michelle (Charles) Scott, Staci Freeman, and Danielle (John) Caldwell; great nieces, Kayla, Brooklynn, Ava, Camille, Naomi, Charline, and Tayla; former wife and friend Yvonne Holland; special friends Fred Wickie Graham and Paula Davis; a host of other relatives and dear friends. Homegoing Celebration 10 a.m., Thursday, November 11, 2010 in the chapel of DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E. Long Street, where the family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the start of service. Dr. Harold A. Hudson, officiating.
