Lucia Maynes Cherry

Lucia M. Cherry, age 91, went home to the Lord Monday, September 10, 2012. Born May 16, 1921, she was a retired employee of the Defense Construction Supply Center. Formerly a member of Trinity Baptist Church, she currently belonged to Bethany Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Cherry was a member, and former officer of, the Philippine American Society of Ohio (PASCO); and member of the Columbus Chapter of Carrousels, Inc. She was predeceased by her parents, Roman and Lillian Maynes/Lena Sullivan-Lynem; husband, Dennis J. Cherry; sons, Romero Cherry and Dennis H. Cherry. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Andrea L. Hernandez; sisters, Rachel (Henry) Nelson, Berinda (Ronald) Thomas, and Joreece (Harold) Smith; extended family son, Albert Kirk; nieces, Tanya Victor, Candace (Bill) Watson, Merinda Mayes, and Felena Mayes; nephews, Ricardo (Joyce) Smith, Roman Maynes, Ronald Thomas, and Marc Thomas; and many other loving family members and friends.
