Elizabeth Harrell, age 86 of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully at the Rehabilitation and Health Care Center of Gahanna Saturday, November 30, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Mary Sanders and Joseph Henry Tabb Sr. on March 16, 1927 in Birmingham, Alabama and received her education from Parker High School. On July 31, 1952, Elizabeth married the love of her life “Bill” and were devoted to each other for 61 years. Together they raised one son Barris Clinton Harrell. Elizabeth was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and a former employee of East Broad Manor Nursing Home and The Ohio State University, providing many years of public service work. She loved to travel, play bingo and enjoyed being around family and friends. She is preceded in death by parents (Mary and Joseph), son (Barris) and brothers (William and Joseph-JoeT). Survived by her husband, William Harrell; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lillian Harrell, Frances Brown, Louise (Al) Battle, Gloria (Marcellus) Lloyd, Elbert Harrell and Freida Mathews; special cousin, Ruth Kennedy; many nieces, nephews and cousins both in Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, Georgia and Alabama; other relatives and friends.
