Elbert Leroy 'Leroy' Garrett

E. Leroy Garrett age 87, went home to be with the Lord on July 26, 2016 at his residence. Preceded in death by wife, Juanita Garrett; parents, Walter and Bertha Garrett; siblings, Walter Garrett Jr., Willie Bell Coleman, Helen M. Meeks, Neaomer Lee and Audrey Lee Greathouse. He leaves to mourn, daughter, Valarie McDaniel; granddaughters, Shyvonne “Punkin” McClendon, Jacqueline “Pepper” McClendon and great-grandson, Jackson P. Cole; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Celebration of Life service will begin at 2 PM on Monday, August 1, 2016 in the chapel at DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E.
