Edward Scott

Edward Scott, was born April 14, 1928 in Lavonia, Georgia to Fred and Fannie Scott. He attended Lavonia Public Schools. Edward joined the Army and fought in the Korean War. In 1953, he married Mary Lizzie and to their union four sons were born. Edward retired from General Motors after 40 years of service. He loved fishing. On January 30, 2018, Edward transitioned from this life. He was preceded in death by his father Fred Scott, Sr., mother Fannie Scott, wife Mary Scott, brothers Benny, W.G., and George, and sisters Laura, Madge, and Mary. “Ed”, as he was affectionately called, leaves to cherish his memory, his sons, Lance, Myron, Kelvin, and Jeffrey Scott; brother, Fred Scott; sister, Jo Evelyn; 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; special friend, Lorretta Willis; best friend, Cornell Elliott; and a host of other relatives and friends.
