Dorothy Mae (Sowell) Jackson, age 88, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 19, 2015. She was born October 17, 1926 in Durham, NC, and was a faithful, devoted member of Faith Ministries Church. She was predeceased by her parents, Rev. Joseph and Ruth (Hester) Sowell; husband, Rufus Jackson; sons, Rufus and Ronald; and ten siblings. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Carolyn (Weldon) Gaither; son, Darryl Jackson; brother, Richard (Jackie) Sowell; sister-in-law, Brenda Sowell; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
