Dorothy C. Roberts

Dorothy C. Roberts, 83, born June 22, 1929 in Douglas, Georgia departed this life on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 surrounded by her family. She graduated from Seward Park High School in New York City. She spent her adult life in Columbus, Ohio where she retired from the Columbus Board of Education. She was a 60+ year member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where she served in ministries; Scholarship, Adult Bible Study, Nurses Corp, Sunday School, a greeter at the Lott Cary Missionary annual meeting, Broad Street Presbyterian Food Pantry. Preceded in death by husband Leroy J. Roberts; mother Geraldine McNeil; daughter Judith Wilson; brother James Leggett; grandchildren DJ Roberts and Thaddeus Wilson. She leaves to cherish her memory; daughters, Joyce Trammel, Daryl Norman, Bridget Bennett, Jennifer Lee; sister, Ann King; son-in-law, Alfred Johnson; a host of relatives and friends.
