Charlie “Shaft” Wilson, born October 8, 1948, went on to meet his maker on November 16, 2010. Preceded in death by parents Nelson Wilson and Mary Alice “Snook” Wilson, brother Bill Wilson, and sister Queen Esther Calloway. He leaves behind his wife Gwendolyn; sister Dorothy Clark; nieces, Angela, Michele, and Marcie Clark; great nephews Christopher and Trey; great nieces Christina and Chase; and an abundance of other relatives and friends. Service of Memory 2 p.m., Friday, November 26, 2010 in the chapel of DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E. Long Street, where the family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the start of service. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
