Barbara Jean Tyree

Barbara Jean Tyree was born on November 20, 1936 in Beckley, West Virginia. Barbara graduated from Stratton High School in 1956. Her employment background includes OSU Hospital and Huntington National Bank (HNB). Barbara was a faithful, active member of Union Grove Baptist Church and participated in Circle Priscilla. Barbara loved traveling, reading, her “Sunny” and her family. Barbara passed away October 31, 2020 after a long battle with Alzheimer disease. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas S. Tyree, Sr., mother, Margarine McGill, sons, Daniel Tyree and Dallas Tyree. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Charlowe D. Tyree; brother, Crawford (Aida) McGill, Jr.; nephew, Clarence Michael (Tracy) Tyree; grandson, Christopher (Jennifer) Tyree of Phoenix, AZ; Danielle Tyree of Dallas, TX; Sanchez (Dwayne) Tyree of Tucson, AZ, and a host of other nieces and nephews. Thanks & appreciation The Tyree-McGill family wishes to thank all friends and family that prayed for, sent get well and thinking of you cards and visited Mom when they could. Special shout-outs go to Kobacker Hospice facility where Mom spent her last week for their outstanding care and comfort during her final days; Columbus Alzheimer’s Care Center who cared for Mom the last five years; and Union Grove Baptist Church who continued to reach out and pray for Mom during her illness. The family would also like to thank St. John AME Church for their continued support, love and prayers during this and my father’s recent passing. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Alzheimer Foundation.
