Alice Ballenger, 61, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011. Preceded in death by parents James W. and Carrie Mae Ballenger. Survived by daughter Tykea (Darin) Mathews; grandson Westin Mathews; sister Alberta (J.B.) McDowell; nephew James McDowell; niece Keisha (Heiko) Charles; a host of other loving relatives and friends. Memorial Celebration of Life 7 p.m., Thursday, March 3, 2011 at New Salem Missionary Baptist Church, 2956 Cleveland Avenue. Pastor Keith Troy, officiating.
